Healthy Habits to Cultivate for Good Health

  • begin your day with gratitude- even before getting out of bed, think of at least one thing you are grateful for
  • drink a tall glass of water in the morning before eating or drinking anything else- (better yet, drink two!)
  • do some simple stretches in the morning to wake up your body- massage your low back and neck
  • eat something green every day
  • eat lots of vegetables- both raw and cooked
  • take a deep breath before eating to relax your belly
  • chew your food well
  • make time for cardio exercise
  • eat healthy foods throughout the day and don't let yourself get wildly hungry!
  • switch to whole grain breads and crackers when possible
  • read labels
  • eat a variety of nuts and seeds
  • drink water!!
